Knock, Knock, Ring, Ring
These are familiar sounds. But wait...as you peer outside who do you see? Oh no, it's a Process Server.
What do you do? You ask yourself, did they see me? Maybe I won't answer the door then I can avoid service.
Oh, wait. They did see me...I smiled back at them and walked away when they showed me the papers. I won't
answer the door and so I am not served! The process server calls my name and tells me I'm being served and leaves them at the porch. I see my name in the paper, what
does this mean? How can this be? Check your state laws and you may very well find an answer to this.
Check your state and federal court rulings and you will find case law regarding this. The bottom line...just answer
the door, you are going to get served, regardless.
